It also comes with packages to easily backup and restore the data. MySQL client is used to communicate with the server to manage the databases. The mysql-server installs all the MySQL server packages and dependencies including the client. This will start installing the MySQL community server and will prompt you to press "Y" to confirm. To install MySQL package on Ubuntu, type: sudo apt install mysql-server So we can use the APT package manager to install the MySQL server. The MySQL server package is officially hosted on Ubuntu 22.04 repositories.
